Vigan City, Philippines, hosts several major festivals, with the most prominent being the Longganisa Festival (January 22) celebrating its famous garlic sausage, followed by the Vigan City Fiesta (January 25) honoring St. Paul, and the Viva Vigan Binatbatan Festival of the Arts (late April/early May) highlighting local crafts and culture, alongside the spooky/commemorative Raniag: Twilight Festival (late Oct/early Nov). These festivals feature street dancing, parades (including kalesas), cultural shows, and feasts centered around Vigan's heritage and products.
Travel becomes more meaningful when it allows people to experience the culture and traditions of a place. The Vigan City Fiesta of the Conversion of St Paul turned the city into a festive space which replaced its normal peaceful atmosphere.
 The event demonstrated that festivals can change the city environment while bringing people together. The Carnaval was one of the highlights of the fiesta. 

The open spaces were filled with visitors who enjoyed the bright lights and rides and music. 
The crowd energy and shared excitement created a feeling of community among the people who attended the event. The nighttime celebration made the experience more memorable.
 The bright lights stood out against the dark sky and the old buildings of Vigan, showing a contrast between tradition and modern celebration. The experience showed me that travel involves visiting well-known places but also requires understanding special events which affect a destination's identity. 

The Vigan City Fiesta demonstrated that travel involves active participation and direct experience of different cultural traditions. The celebration taught me how people create special moments by uniting their cultural background and historical heritage with their shared community experience. The journey to Vigan enabled me to see the city as more than its historical past because it exists today as a vibrant place which maintains its cultural heritage.

What I've learned

My First Quarter Reflection    What are the Learnings/Discoveries that I have made?    I have gotten a deeper understanding and knowledge on topics and I have also learned new things about myself as a student. For one, I've realized that I learn better when I'm reciting what I say out loud and saying it out loud to someone else actually makes me remember it in my own head. I've also learned how to time-manage, balancing schoolwork with extracurricular activities and having some fun. my 2nd quarter experiences

During the second quarter, I learned valuable lessons across all my subjects. In English, I improved my writing and reading comprehension by analyzing texts and creating essays. In Science, I discovered more about forces, motion, and energy, which helped me understand how these apply in real life. In Mathematics, I learned how to solve equations and interpret graphs more effectively. In Filipino, I deepened my understanding of culture and language through essays and stories.
