The Intayon Festival of Ilocos Sur is an event that promotes unity and cooperation among the municipalities of Ilocos Sur. The term “Intayon” is a phrase that means “let's go.” This is an expression of unity and togetherness. The different government units come together to showcase their culture, products, and traditions in one celebration. This promotes unity and not rivalry trust not betrayal and equal amounts of pride and joy. Strip dancing and cultural shows are the main attractions of this event. The dancers wear colorful costumes that are inspired by history and livelihood. Every municipality shows what makes them different, unique and special whether it is their agricultural products, weaving, or their coastal resources. This event enhances cultural pride and tourism.

This event also promotes tourism and entrepreneurship. Food stalls, handicrafts, and local products are given exposure during the celebration of the festival. Events such as this one help preserve culture and provide economic benefits. Intayon is one event that proves that cultural identity is made stronger when people come together.

What I've learned

My First Quarter Reflection What are the Learnings/Discoveries that I have made? I have gotten a deeper understanding and knowledge on topics and I have also learned new things about myself as a student. For one, I've realized that I learn better when I'm reciting what I say out loud and saying it out loud to someone else actually makes me remember it in my own head. I've also learned how to time-manage, balancing schoolwork with extracurricular activities and having some fun. One of the biggest things I've learned is how to take apart big, overwhelming projects into smaller chunks that are not quite so intimidating, which has made them less intimidating. my 2nd quarter experiences

During the second quarter, I learned valuable lessons across all my subjects. In English, I improved my writing and reading comprehension by analyzing texts and creating essays. In Science, I discovered more about forces, motion, and energy, which helped me understand how these apply in real life. In Mathematics, I learned how to solve equations and interpret graphs more effectively. In Filipino, I deepened my understanding of culture and language through essays and stories. In Araling Panlipunan, I studied about economic systems and how they affect communities. In ICT, I learned how to design a travel blog and apply HTML tags correctly.
