I have a dream -Martin Luther King Jr.

My dream for the future is to become a doctor. I want to help people who are sick and improve the health of my community. Doctors play an important role in society because they care for patients, treat diseases, and guide people in living healthier lives. Seeing how doctors help others inspires me to follow the same path. To reach this goal, I know that education and discipline are very important. I must study hard, especially in science subjects such as biology and chemistry. Becoming a doctor also requires strong dedication because the training is long and challenging. However, learning how the human body works and how to treat illnesses makes the journey meaningful. Being a doctor is not only about knowledge but also about compassion and responsibility. Doctors must listen carefully to their patients and make decisions that can affect people’s lives. They often work long hours and face difficult situations, yet they continue because their work hel...

The 124th Foundation Day of Ilocos Sur National High School celebrated over a century of learning and service to the community. The event reminded students, teachers, and staff of the school’s long tradition and the shared pride of belonging to an institution with a strong history. One of the main activities was the parade, where students, faculty members, and school staff participated together. It showed the unity and spirit of the school community. The year-level dance performances became the highlight of the celebration. Each group presented creative routines that showed energy, coordination, and teamwork. These performances also displayed the abilities and effort of the students. The event also served as a reminder of the school’s legacy. the last quarter of grade 10 reflection

The last quarter of the school year marked an important stage in my academic and personal development. During this time, I faced many activities, projects, and lessons that required effort and dedication. I learned to organize my schedule and stay focused so I could complete my responsibilities. These experiences tested my patience and strengthened my determination to finish my work. One of the most meaningful lessons I gained was the importance of persistence. Some topics were difficult, and the number of tasks increased as the quarter progressed. Even so, I kept working and tried my best to complete every requirement. Through effort and discipline, I was able to accomplish my tasks and continue improving in my studies. Another important part of this quarter was the support from the people around me. My teachers guided us through lessons and helped us understand challenging topics. My classmates also played a big role, especially during group activities. Workin...

happy Valentine's Day

Valentine’s Day is usually associated with romantic love, but its significance is much more than that. It is a reminder to show gratitude to family, friends, and the community and the people you love. In many countries, including the Philippines, people celebrate it in simple ways, such as holding a gathering, giving gifts, or doing something kind or somthing very kind. The essence of the day is not about value but about connection. Valentine’s Day has been criticized by some as being too commercialized. The advertisements of stores for flowers and chocolates encourage people to spend money instead of focusing on the feelings. The essence of the day, however, is simple: to show care and gratitude. Nothing more is needed. Being “always on Valentine’s Day” means living the spirit of love every day. Showing respect, forgiveness, and kindness should not be based on a calendar. When people make kindness a habit, their relationships will become stronger. In this way, Valentine’s Da...

my 3rd Quarter experiences

During the theid quarter it was a struggle, learning new things and getting better at things I already knew. Although I didn't remember much I realized how much I can learn from going out explore and having fun with my friends.  During the 3rd quarter I remember more of the fun times outside of school than inside the school but some memorable experience at class were laughing and not paying attention and even though I never understood the lessons I still enjoyed the subject period.  During the third 3rd quarter we "came back from lunch 4 hours late from 12 PM to 4 PM" and accidentally got on a tricycle to go to jtc to use bump cars and karaoke and eat empanada but I'll never forget how all of it was an accident and not planned. and there was also a time we went to the carnaval after class during these times I learned that even when things never go to plan it...

epag Laban karapatan ng kabataan

The National Children's Month celebration for 2025 dedicated its entire program to showing people how essential it is to safeguard children who use digital platforms. The theme focused on two goals which included ending Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children and eliminating Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials. The public celebration educated people about the dangers that children encounter in both physical spaces and internet spaces where they face greater risks. The celebration activities together with their messages established a reminder that children possess rights which need protection. Children have the right to protection because they require both privacy rights and dignity treatment. The celebration helped me understand my online responsibilities as a student. The online world taught me to handle my personal information with care while communicating with others. The experience taught me that when something feels wrong I must speak up about it....

national indigenous peoples month

According to the National Indigenous Peoples Month of the Philippines, culture is the driving force behind the future. The theme connects Indigenous identity with the concept of sustainable development. It is a very straightforward concept to grasp. Eco-friendly characters and communities manage the forests, rivers, and the farming lands that are not only sources of food for the cities but also contribute to the lowering of risks associated with climate. However, rituals alone are not enough to secure the territory or the people's means of living. In the absence of proper funding, implementation, and supervision, this festivity turns into mere symbolism. Referring to Indigenous peoples as the “bedrock” of sustainability brings with it a dilemma. On one hand, it acknowledges the Indigenous communities’ concern for the environment, on the other, it does so while the same authorities are granting mining, logging, and hydroelectric projects on native lands. Thos...

As the Christmas Season came to an end i realized that the year has also ended which sparks a new beninging and a new year.  I learned that all good things must come to an end at some point just like the Christmas season and and it starts something that will never be the same like at January 5 school started again. But this isn't about that it's about how the Christmas season came to an end but about how I celebrated it with the people I love.  At during December 25 2025 last year I realized that real ice show real lies cream which is one of the foods we ate during Christmas and this food for me it shows that love can be expressed in many different ways like giving food that we all love and ice cream was one of the foods we shared to show our love but food isn't the only way of showing the essence of Christmas we also used helping as a way to show our love and care we helped each other cook and prepare the food and we also visited our cousin's an...

President Elpidio Quirino

Elpidio Quirino was born and raised in Vigan, Ilocos Sur, and his childhood and early life experiences contributed to the life he led later on. Quirino came from humble beginnings, and he had to work very hard to finish his education in law. Growing up poor affected his feelings and thoughts about public service. He learned the virtue of fortitude and resilience early in life, and this quality was also evident in his political career. Before he became president, Quirino served on the government side in various manners. He was at first employed in the federal government as a teacher, then a clerk, and eventually as a lawyer. He also served in the Philippine Assembly, where he would eventually become a senator. In addition he also served as Vice President to Manuel Roxas, and this office prepared him operating in a leadership position. His several political promotions exploited innate talent regarding matters of administration and diplomacy. Quirino's presidency was primarily sta...

Travel blog

Vigan City is one of the most beautiful heritage destinations in the Philippines. It stands as a living reminder of the country’s rich Spanish colonial past. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Vigan is known for its well-preserved architecture, traditional crafts, and strong local identity. Every street, house, and product tells a story about the city’s culture and the pride of its people. When you visit Vigan, the first thing that captures your attention is Calle Crisologo. The narrow cobblestone streets lined with centuries-old houses bring you back to the 18th century. The wooden balconies, capiz windows, and stone foundations show how the Ilocanos preserved their history. During the day, you can see kalesas passing by, carrying visitors who take photos and enjoy the old-world charm. At night, the street glows with warm lights, giving a calm and nostalgic feeling. Beyond its architecture, Vigan is known for its local industries that continue to thrive through th...

my 2nd quarter experiences

During the second quarter, I learned valuable lessons across all my subjects. In English, I improved my writing and reading comprehension by analyzing texts and creating essays. In Science, I discovered more about forces, motion, and energy, which helped me understand how these apply in real life. In Mathematics, I learned how to solve equations and interpret graphs more effectively. In Filipino, I deepened my understanding of culture and language through essays and stories. In Araling Panlipunan, I studied about economic systems and how they affect communities. In ICT, I learned how to design a travel blog and apply HTML tags correctly. Each subject helped me gain new knowledge and develop practical skills that I can use beyond school. One of the main challenges I faced this quarter was managing time for all the requirements from different subjects. Some lessons were difficult to understand at first, especially in Math and ICT where I needed to apply specific steps and tec...

The 2025 National Science Month celebration, anchored on the theme “Harnessing the Unknown: Powering the Future through Science and Innovation” (as declared in DepEd Division Memorandum No. 305, s. 2025) , presents not just a yearly commemoration of scientific awareness, but also an invitation to imagine how society and science will coevolve in the decades ahead. The phrasing “harnessing the unknown” points to the humility and ambition that should guide science: we acknowledge that there remain mysteries in nature and society, yet we commit to exploring them. And “powering the future” frames science and innovation as engines, not mere observers, in shaping what comes next. Over the coming decades, the bond between science and society will deepen and become more reciprocal. Scientific advances will increasingly emerge from contexts shaped by societal needs—health security in pandemics, climate resilience in the face of extreme events, sustainable food systems under resource constraint...

climate change is changing the climate

The Philippines faces rampant environmental change driven by different activities. 1. Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Climate Change The core activities causing those changes are increased greenhouse gases' concentration, particularly the burning of fossil fuels (especially coal and oil) for energy production, coupled with transportation, industries, and loss of forests. The GHGs trap heat in the atmosphere and the oceans, which causes increases in extreme weather events such as super typhoons and heavy rainfall, shifts in precipitation patterns, rise in sea levels, and increase the risk for droughts on some areas. 2. Deforestation and Changes in Land Use. Logging, agriculture encroachments, and urbanization diminish the forest's natural defenses. In carbon dioxide absorption and regulation of the water cycle, forests play a crucial role. With the destruction of trees, the soil becomes vulnerable to erosion, landslides, and floods, especially during most heavy rainfall...
